The news worthwhile for me is that the minimum wage for part-time workers in Saitama Prefecture will rise from 937 yen to 1028 yen. Although Saitama Prefecture has a high minimum wage on average among the 47 prefectures, the minimum wage in Tokyo is 1113 yen, a difference of 176 yen. You may think that it's only 176 yen, but as the saying goes, every little bit counts, and if you work every day, it will add up to a big difference in a month. I was unhappy with the 937 yen wage at my previous part-time job, but when I saw this news, I jumped for joy. I hope that the minimum wage will continue to rise in the future and everyone will become rich.

That is great news! When I for came to Japan in 2006, the minimum wage was 880. But I also heard that many jobs pay over that anyway. Maybe that has changed. I used to make minimum in America, which was $4.25 back then!
